Urban Myth was DJ Vlad's series dedicated to the figures too big for standard interviews and too complicated for straight coverage — the street legends, the rumors, the personalities whose stories lived somewhere between fact and folklore. On disc, before the internet flattened everything, Urban Myth documented the era's larger-than-life characters with the same interview discipline Vlad brought to the rest of his catalog.
THE LEGENDS ON DISC
The Urban Myth format worked because the DVD era was the last moment when this kind of story lived on physical media. Before YouTube compilations and TikTok reels compressed street history into 30-second clips, Urban Myth gave the stories the space they needed. Long-form. Contextualized. Preserved.
THE PHYSICAL ERA
This archive preserves the Urban Myth DVD pressings, artwork, and era documentation. The full series ran during the mid-2000s peak of the DVD era, when a physical release was still how street-level cultural documentation reached its audience.
