OG RON C
THE LEGEND
OG Ron C is one of the pillars of Houston's mixtape legacy — a co-founder of the Swishahouse movement and the voice behind the F-Action mixtape series. Carrying the slowed-down tradition forward with his signature "Chopped Not Slopped" style, Ron C became the bridge between Houston's underground cassette era and the global mainstream.
THE REACH
From the F-Action series to chopped versions of major mainstream albums, OG Ron C took Houston's sound to audiences that never touched a Southside parking lot. His work with the Chopstars crew kept the chop alive and evolving — proof that what started on hand-dubbed tapes became a permanent language in music.
THE PHYSICAL ERA
This archive preserves the physical artifacts of the Houston mixtape run — the pressings, the series releases, the artwork — from the era when the sound moved on discs and cassettes, trunk to trunk. Before YouTube. Before Spotify. Preserved before it disappeared.
