DJ WHITEOWL
DJ Whiteowl, Drop That 245 intro (from the DJ Whiteowl channel)
DROP THAT
DJ Whiteowl was one of the busiest mixtape DJs of the 2000s. His Drop That series ran past 240 volumes, and every tape carried the shout fans still remember: “DJ Whiteowl, drop that!”
THE EXCLUSIVES
A Whiteowl tape was where you heard records first. He premiered Lil Wayne tracks and carried regular exclusives from Dipset and D-Block, next to his Whiteowl Down South and Best Of series.
THE LOSS
DJ Whiteowl died in June 2016 after a long illness. Joe Budden, Styles P and DJ Green Lantern were among the artists and DJs who paid tribute.
THE PHYSICAL ERA
This page tracks Whiteowl’s run the way it was sold: CDs on the table, then downloads on the mixtape sites. If you have a Whiteowl tape that isn’t listed here, the archive wants to hear about it.
