About the archive
This site documents street-era DVDs, the people who made them and the people who appeared in them, for history, research, commentary and education. It is independent. It isn't the official site of any DVD brand, and it isn't endorsed by or affiliated with the people or companies it covers unless we say so. Names, logos, covers and footage belong to their owners and are shown for commentary and reference. The opinions of the people shown are their own. Nothing here encourages violence or any illegal activity.
Nothing is for sale here
We don't sell, rent, license or stream DVDs or footage on this site. Where we show a video, it plays from YouTube, posted there by its own uploader.
Using our content
The writing, photos of our own copies and the design of HoodDVDEra.com belong to us. You're welcome to read, share links to and quote short parts of our pages with a credit and a link. Don't copy whole pages, republish our photos or scrape the site without written permission.
Accuracy
We check what we publish against the packaging of the discs we hold and against published sources. Mistakes still happen. If you spot one, or you were part of a DVD and want to correct or add to the record, email info@hoodboxoffice.com.
Copyright and takedown requests
If you believe something on the site uses your work without permission, send a request under the Wendy Black Foundation takedown policy (wendyblackfoundation.org/takedown-request-policy) or email info@hoodboxoffice.com. We review every request and remove material when appropriate.
